Which Anchor is Right for Me?

Choosing the best shallow water anchor usually comes down to three simple choices: how you fish, how big your boat is, and how deep the water is.

  1. Fishing Habits

    If you fish every weekend and hop from spot to spot, you’ll want the push-button convenience of Axis. If you prefer simple, silent anchoring and are more budget-conscious, go with Vector.

  2. Boat Size

    Vector can handle boats up to 22 ft long and 3,000 lbs. If you’re over 22 ft, you’ll need Axis. It’s rated for boats up to 26 ft and 4,500 lbs. Most fishing boats are between 16 and 20 ft long.

  3. Water Depth

    Both Axis and Vector shallow water anchors come in 6' and 8' depth options. Choose 6' for shallow flats and 8' when you need more reach.
